I see that Jim has updated that Bernard saw the bird today. I've been busy & had to subscribe, but I'll add possible details. About 8:40 AM Sunday I found the Summer Tanager in bushes that are on the immediate east side of Fireside Cafe/ Cafe Deli at #9819 Main St (right where Jim Wolford found it). It was about 2 ft from an air conditioner. People entered the Cafe & it didn't fly. Minutes later it did fly, across the street & around the W side of the Pharmasave Bldg. (exactly where Richard Stern saw it disappear). I went to my car to make a note & to get some mail for the Post Office. When I arrived at the Post Office, a few hundred m West on Main St, there was the Tanager on a railing, then gleaning something off of the bldg. It then disappeared around the W side of that bldg. It seems it can be anywhere in the main business district. It took me about 30 minutes to find it the first time, although most of that time was spent along the river bank. Rick Whitman
