--=====================_7685515==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi Everyone; An odd weather system passed through HRM today, with a strong band of rain moving NW off the ocean, with the edge of the main rainfall area running up the middle of Halifax harbour. Lots of rain fell on Dartmouth, much less in Halifax, or out here near Prospect. Since both of today's scheduled field trips were on the Dartmouth side, it was just as well they were both rescheduled until tomorrow. The following new additions to the winter list have appeared: Bernard Forsythe (Wolfville): Barred Owl, Northern Mockingbird, Yellow-breasted Chat Richard Stern (Lower Sackville): Lesser Black-backed Gull Richard Stern (Cottage Cove & Port George, Kings Co.): Thick-billed Murre, Harlequin Duck. Terry Crowell (off Cape Sable Island lobstering): Razorbill, Bonaparte's Gull Cathy Murrant (Beacon Street Dam, Glace Bay): Pied-billed Grebe, Ruddy Duck The web site is: http://tinyurl.com/nswinter Our total is now 116, oddly two less that where New Brunswick is right now. But I'm sure we'll catch up by the end of the weekend.
