I = photographed the flock floating, sitting and flying, plus the three = collared geese and of course the Graylag Goose. The view here is unobstructed and with the assistance of a quality 60X = scope you should get eye-popping views of all the geese. There are two = good viewing locations. Take exit 14 off highway 102 and immediately = turn left onto route #236 and go under highway 102 driving west and then = take the first right and drive to the end of the road by a boarded up = motel. From here you can see the whole flotilla legally. If you don't = mind violating local by-laws you can drive another couple of hundred = metres down route #236 and turn right at a clearing and then past the no = trespassing sign and directly to the dyke. From the dyke you will get = the best views. The goose flock will be agitated as you ascend the = dyke. You'll know this by the sudden increase in the decibel level. = Move slowly, set up your equipment and relax, and so will the geese. = The no trespassing by-law likely exists to protect the farmers fields = from being torn up by ATV's or their access roads being blocked by = looky-woos. =20 Hans Toom Portuguese Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada http://www.hanstoom.com/= --Boundary_(ID_/P6ZDd+dUtEFvaf9+PPwJg) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type> <META name=GENERATOR content="MSHTML 8.00.6001.18975"> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- <DIV style="BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; font-color: black"><B>From:</B> <A title=htoom@hfx.eastlink.ca href="mailto:htoom@hfx.eastlink.ca">Hans Toom</A> </DIV> <DIV><B>To:</B> <A title=ns-rba@yahoogroups.com href="mailto:ns-rba@yahoogroups.com">ns-rba@yahoogroups.com</A> </DIV> <DIV><B>Sent:</B> Monday, November 29, 2010 12:42 PM</DIV> <DIV><B>Subject:</B> Graylag Goose with Many Friends</DIV></DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I surveyed the goose flock of about 1000+ birds on the Cobequid Bay inlet just west of where highway 102 crosses over the water.
