On the shore, there were two Bald Eagles sitting on the shore with a group of ravens, a flock of about 20 American Pipits, and a flock of about 30 Snow Buntings was a nice treat. On the water were a flock of 40-odd eiders, a black guillemot, and the regular assortment of gulls. I then checked out Causeway Road and Fishermen's Cove. The only bird of note there was a peep flying by at high speed, gone too fast for me to stop the car and bring up the binoculars, much less identify it, before it disappeared. Along the 207 there were many black ducks, 6 Green-winged Teal and 10 American Wigeon. There were also three cormorants, which I wasn't able to see well enough to identify to species. On the Oldham Road in Enfield, there was a trio of Hooded Mergansers on a small wooded pond beside the road. Finally, I made a sudden stop to watch an adult Sharp-shinned Hawk flying low over the #2 in Elmsdale.
