Since the tempest has abated there is a single Swallow arround our place.
Seems quite content to just catch flys & perch on the wires. Can't make a
positive ident, has a pure white breast like a Tree S but has dark markings
on the head & neck. When perched it seems bit larger than Swallows I have
observed. Will try to get a pic if its here today.

That sounds like the bird I saw flying up from the wires near the DOT salt
sheds outside Liverpool, Friday pm. We couldn't stop for long and the size
was larger than I expected a swallow to be. It was still there a couple
hours when we headed back out from town but wasn't there yesterday. I
thought the wind beat was a bit different.
