I took another trip up to Onslow to try for the Greylag Goose this morning. This
time I was successful! I located the bird swimming in the gravel pit with
several hundred Canada Geese. I got a few distant photos, enough to say it's the
bird, but far too poor to even consider posting. Eric Mills was kind enough to
let me get a much better look at the bird through his scope. There was also an
adult Bald Eagle and a Red-tailed Hawk near the Liberal building. I also checked
McWilliam Road, which had good numbers of geese but the largest flocks were
right between my vantage point and the sun. I didn't see anything other than
Canada Geese there, but there were still flocks coming in when I had to leave.

There was a flock of about 40 Bohemian Waxwings near the cenotaph in
Shubenacadie this morning as well.
