Renowned science broadcaster Jay Ingram headlines the Atlantic launch of Th=
e Science Media Centre of Canada (SMCC).  Ingram=2C who is a member of the =
Order of Canada for his lifetime service and contribution to the communicat=
ion of science=2C will be joined by a panel of experts in a discussion abou=
t the translation of science in the public sphere. The event aims to stimul=
ate the conversation about how=2C what=2C when and where we receive and und=
erstand knowledge of science.
This presentation is also the launch of a multi-part national series on Sci=
ence and its Publics created by the Situating Science Knowledge Cluster=2C =
(www.situsci.ca) and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs=2C (w=
ww.ccepa.ca).
