--0-648334585-1288604604=:48733 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Kwe Msit Wen: Yesterday, Nick and I, along with Cathy and Allan Murrant went in search of the Spruce Grouse at the Cape Breton National Highlands Park. We stopped at Englishtown, Warren Lake, Benjie's Lake, Bog Trail and ended up at Cheticamp Island. Not as many species as the day before but a very good day nonetheless-three new lifers (two of which are photo lifers). Here are the species we found: Englishtown: American Crows Starlings Double-creasted Cormorants Rock Doves 2 Black-bellied Plovers Herring Gulls Ring-billed Gulls Black-backed Gulls Northern Wheatear (photo lifer) Warren Lake: Pergerine Falcon American Bald Eagles Blue Jays White throated Sparrows Black-capped Chickadees American Black Ducks Benjie's Lake: Blue Jay Gray Jay Lapland Longspur (photo lifer) Downy Woodpecker Cheticamp Island: Common eiders Wilson's Snipe Western Kingbird Cattle Egret Boreal Chickadee Common Mergansers White-winged Scoters (lifer) Dark-eyed Juncos Northern Flicker Canada Geese Great Blue Heron I am working on the pictures and will post them when I get a chance today or tomorrow.
