I was leading and saw it circl= e above and in front then land quickly and make a large hop to the side to = avoid me. My fellow biker hadn't seen it till it hit the pavement and just = barely missed striking it. It did look tired and I wouldn't doubt it was in= a confused state. A rather interesting experience to put it lightly !- - I= was able to identify it as I have for many years been an enthusiast and ha= d been in Florida the past winter and encountered the species on a daily ba= sis in the yard of our rented condo.
