I am an enthusiastic gardener, but I support the white-list idea anyway. It may restrict what I can get, but I think the precautionary approach is better for our environment. Besides, what I would foresee then is a within-Canada cottage industry developing for gardeners who really want non-white-listed plants.

I'm not informed enough to have a sound opinion. I am interested and am aware a lot of plants are a problem. I find I like plants I find growing wild, some limited seed collecting and the occasional cutting. Maybe many were imports way back.  It just was 'talked' about in the group so I forwarded this.
