Thanks to everyone who chimed in with the identification of the berries.
Ilexverticillata (Canada Holly) seems to be the consensus, though
Nemopanthusmucronata (False Holly) was a strong contender. A new plant for me
and in the spring, I will go back to see about getting a specimen for the
CBU Una'ma'kik plants herbarium collection.
