Index of Subjects Sadly, native yew is hard to find, some people claim due to browsing by deer. I am wondering if yew was more plentiful before white tailed deer arrived. - Burkhard ............. I had a wild Canada Yew once. I tried to protect it but the deer ate it off. It did try to recover so they ate it right down to the ground. No more yew.
