The regular October meeting of the Nova Scotia Bird Society will take
place Thursday, October 28th at 7:30 PM in the lower auditorium of the
Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, 1747 Summer Street, Halifax.

Title: My Approach to Bird Photography by Ulli Hoeger

How can I determine the proper exposure that there is more to see in
my picture than just a dark silhouette in the sky? How do I get and
keep the bird in focus? What should I look for when taking a bird
photo to get something that is more appealing than just a mere
reference photo?

These and some other all to familiar problems when taking photographs
of birds will be discussed. Ulli will show us how to deal with some of
these issues, and will try to answer questions you may have about bird
photography.

In keeping with our new meeting format, we well also have a brief
presentation before the main talk by Tuma Young who will be showing us
a few of his recent photographs, which should be a perfect lead-in to
the main talk.

The public is welcome.
