Hi All,

I recently returned from a trip to Cape Cod where I had a few =
opportunities to photograph some of their birds, including some Piping =
Plovers and chicks and Least Terns and chick. For those interested, =
you can see the pictures along with some new additions from Nova Scotia =
in my gallery at =
http://scranlocker.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=3D12394789&Albu=
mKey=3DFhcET Please note that all piping plover and tern pictures are =
taken from well travelled public access areas of the beach at the =
water's edge using a long lens so as not to disturb the plovers or =
terns. There is a picture of the beach included for reference. As in =
previous years at this beach, I found 4 pairs of plovers over the 1/2 =
mile length of the protected zone (there may have been more) but there =
were no banded adults seen by me.

I also caught an unusual (to me anyway) event where a Red-winged =
Blackbird chased a Snowy Egret!

The Grand Pre' Red-tailed Hawk was photographed this past Sunday on a =
trip to Evangeline Beach to see shorebirds - unfortunately, the tide was =
too low and I had no luck on that score.
