Index of Subjects Hi Everyone, Pre-migration movement among song birds has certainly started as a number of people have noted. Several of the species that Lois has reported have started to move south out of the province and will be heading out in good numbers within a week or so. The resident species of Empidonax flycatchers (Least, Alder, Willow & Yellow-bellied) are at their peak of migration over the next two weeks and the majority of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, certainly the adult males, will be gone by the end of the month. In spite of this, in some years a hummer or two may hang around into November. It should be interesting to see when the last report of these little fellows is sent in.
