BlankHi all,

Yesterday afternoon (August 7th) on the Pirate's Cove Whale and Seabird =
Cruises vessel Fundy Cruiser, we were thrilled to see two Sperm Whales =
off Long Island. At first we couldn't figure out what kind of spout we =
were seeing from a distance (Sperm whales blow forward and to the left), =
but when it fluked up Captain Darrin Sollows was immediately able to =
identify it. Knowing that Sperm whales are able to stay down for a long, =
long time, we thought we had seen the last of it, but a few minutes =
later, it came up and we and our passengers were able to get a good look =
and some photos. When it fluked up again we left it, but soon after =
spotted a second one, and again were able to stay with it for several =
minutes, observing the prune-wrinkled skin and eventually its huge =
flukes as it dove. What a thrill. Other sightings were an Ocean Sunfish, =
and Flash's show-off Humpback calf. A wonderful day on the water.

Chris
