On Sunday, a large sunspot (#1092) erupted on the earth-facing side of the sun.  In conjunction with another event about 400,000 km away, a large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) was expelled into space toward earth.  It should arrive Wednesday night at high latitudes, with the possibility of very active auroral borealii (sp?).
