It was exactly where she said it would be, sitting on top of the bird feeder on her deck. We drove into her driveway and the bird was sitting there waiting for us! On the roof of her home sat a merlin, while another merlin loudly flew about the neighbour's yard. The white winged dove and mourning doves did not seem to be fearful of the falcon. Also seen from the yard in the very short time we were there: bank swallows, hummingbirds, flicker, cedar waxwing, blue jays, and a chipmunk.
