The southern parts of the Bras D'Or were infested with these green
crabs just a few years ago, so many that I would walk on them with
every step as I waded along fly-fishing. Now there are only a few,
and a lobster fisherman mentioned just the other day that he's seeing
them more seldom in his traps. He also said that our rock crabs are
abundant. Maybe our native rock crabs like eating green crabs.
