JULY 13, 2010 - Andy Dean's photos and journal for today show that,
on a walk east along the rail trail from the Coldbrook overpass at
Hwy. 101 for perhaps a mile, in the centres of evening primrose
flowers he found 2+2+4 PRIMROSE MOTHS (Schinia florida), which are
very beautiful and hot-pink in colour with yellowish other parts.
Apparently evening primrose is the only? food of the larvae of this
moth. It's remarkable that Andy saw 8 of them in one day and got
photos of 2 pairs of them. (On July 8 he had seen and photographed 2
more of them in west Kentville.)

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
