Hi Folks:
The Membertou 400 celebrations are taking place this weekend at the Halifax Commons. I will be part of the celebrations giving presentations on plants used in Traditional Mi'kmaq Medicines-just go to Teepee number 6. Along with the presentations, I will also be doing some Medicine Walks through Point Pleasant Park.
For the birders, today Mi'kmaq are using contemporary tools. I will have my laptop in the teepee and can show folks my recent bird pictures (along with their Mi'kmaq names).
If you are in the area, do drop by and say hi.
