Note that in this checklist neither:

Dolba hyloeus (Drury)
Paratrea plebeja (Fabricius)

Have actually been recorded in Nova Scotia.

Also, Douglas Ferguson (1955) recorded four additional species of =20
Sphingidae in Nova Scotia including:

Aellopos tantalus (Linnaeus) =96 [Sydney from the 1890's; there is some =20=

question about this specimen]
Eumorpha fasciata (Sulzer) =96 [Musquodoboit, McNab's Island, Granville =20=

Ferry]
Eumorpha pandorus (H=FCbner) =96 [Armdale]
Hyles lineata (Fabricius) =96 [McNab's Island, Digby]

The first three are irregular vagrant migrants, however Hyles lineata =20=

(Fabricius) may be a regular migrant to this region since Ferguson =20
reported several specimens collected by John Russell in Digby.

Another vagrant sub-tropical migrant recorded in this region is a =20
specimen of Xylophanes tersa (Linnaeus) collected by Barry Wright in =20
1981 on Sable Island.

All the best!

Chris
