Today at Round Hill, I watched two Osprey making slow circles over Round Hi=
ll Brook. They stayed relatively close together and slowly circled their w=
ay upstream. This was at around 10 a.m. This afternoon around 5, I saw on=
e flying north toward the Annapolis River (my place is just south across th=
e river from Belle Isle marsh). It was calling as it flew over. Later, a =
single Osprey flew in from the south and began circling over the brook grad=
ually working its way back upstream (south). A couple of weeks ago, I aske=
d one of my neighbours where the Osprey nest (he has lived in the area most=
of his life). He said they sometimes nest up at a power line which runs u=
p above Round Hill Cemetery. I have not been up there to see if that's whe=
re the Osprey are this year, but they do seem to come down from the hills t=
o the south of 201 when they come to the brook. The cemetery is south of 2=
01 up on a high hill west of Round Hill Brook. =0AAlso seen today and prett=
y much daily, is a Great Blue Heron that wades in the brook and flies over =
my garden.=0AAt night, Loons are regularly heard to the north. They =0Ado=
n't seem all that far away, so I'm guessing they are either in Round =0AHil=
l Brook or Pr=E9 Rond marsh, or perhaps over on the Annapolis River by the =
end of Wharf =0ARoad.=0ALast week the water level in the brook had been dow=
n to the point that the flow was becoming very slow with many rocks exposed=
. With all the rain a few days ago, the flow became so fast that one would=
n't have wanted to slip and fall in. The level was up quite a bit. Today, =
the flow is just beginning to slow a little and the level to drop. =0A=0A=
