=2C the weekend of June 25-27. 2010. Weather permitting=2C a 2 hr boat tour=
will place on Saturday afternoon June 26. The 2hr Boat Sail in Lobster Ba=
y :( limited to 25 guests) will visit Brothers Island=2C colony of Roseate =
Terns=2C Ram & Argyle Islands=2C Wind Farm and Aquaculture site. Last year=
=92s turn out was very successful. Birders came from Halifax=2C Argyle=2C Y=
armouth=2C South Ohio=2C Barrington=2C Shelburne=2C East Pubnico=2C West Pu=

The birding enthusiast is increasing and a chance to see a Roseate Tern is =
very attractive. =93Around a thousand terns are spotted during that time of=
the season ( May=2C June=2C July) including the Common and the Arctic Tern=
and the endangered Roseate Tern sighting in West Pubnico is what birders c=
ame to see.=94 organizer explained.=20
The sighting of the Roseate Tern was at Pond Road=2C West Pubnico=2C adjust=
of the Brothers Island=2C two tiny islands about 1 km west of Lower West P=
ubnico=2C Nova Scotia=2C Canada. These islands represent the largest and th=
e most stable population in Canada of the endangered species=2C the Roseate=
Tern and IBA designated them an Important Bird Area in 1999.=20
Conferences=2C guest speakers=2C bird photos exhibit=2C the boat tour=2C vi=
ewed the carving decoys on display and a singsong in the tepee makes for a =
most enjoyable weekend including Acadian hospitality.
