I know very little about fish but I found what I am pretty certain is a =
SHORTNOSE STURGEON on Scots Bay Beach this morning. It was still there =
when I went back for some pics this afternoon. I see it is listed as a =
species at risk. Not sure if finding it where/when I did is unusual but =
figured someone on this list would know/be interested in this find.

Also, the eagles nest...
for 3 days last week there were a pair of eagles who shared this nest. =
One was always on it and sometimes both. I checked it about 4 times a =
day. They fought of a pair of ravens for a good hour one day. Quite the =
show. One Eagle would hunker down on the nest while the other actively =
fought the ravens. The nest also seems to have been worked on....but, =
once again, no eagles for the past 3 days. Could this be a newish pair =
"practicing" starting a brood? The two BALD EAGLES were both mature. A =
younger eagle also seemed to come by/perch nearby on more than one =
occassion.
