Arena and was a bit surprised to find at least three apparently fully feathered fledglings on top of the nest and frequently giving their loud begging calls that mean something like "feed me! feed me! where are mom and dad?!". One of the parents did arrive and then stayed close by for a little while. JUNE 2, 2010 - A n. cardinal was singing loudly and persistently just east of our back yard this morning, along with a red-eyed vireo. The bald eagle nest in the Evangeline Beach Campground is still active and has at least one still-downy nestling that yet has a lot of growing and feathering out to do.
