ction around <br>http://mail.yahoo. This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_009E_01CAFFCE.2349DEB0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Gayle; I was very interested in this concept. So much so that we went hunting = for Grapefruit seed extract. Found some ,but the only info we need is how large is the batch that she = is making up. As we have to mix batches of two cups at a time several times a day the amount is = necessary. We presently have 12 or more hummers around constantly. Please respond ASAP. Thanks; Robert Haimes From: Gayle MacLean=20 Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 9:13 AM To: naturelist=20 Subject: [NatureNS] Regarding Hummingbird Sugar Water Hi All, My friend in East Chezzetcook who always has lots of hummingbirds = visiting every year said that she always has put a drop of grapefruit = seed extract into each batch of hummingbird sugar water that she makes. = She states it is a natural preservative, an anti-bacterial and is = anti-fungal. She also says that it allows it to stay fresher longer. She = also puts some in the water of her African Grey Parrot too, to keep the = 'nasty's' away. Anyway, she has been doing this for years and says she = hasn't lost a hummer yet. I've never read anywhere where this additive is suggested. Has anyone ever heard of this or does anyone else suggest this? Thank you, Gayle MacLean Dartmouth=20 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
