I saw an Osprey on the River Philip. I have never seen Osprey here before.
About 1 km (as the crow flies) a Bald Eagle has been hanging out for 2 -
3 years. Do these birds usually hang out so close together? The Osprey
was perched on a pole near a tributary of the River Philip just behind
the store in Port Howe. I often see Kingfishers there.

We have had a family of foxes playing around in our driveway for week or
so. The mother and 3 kits. So cute and very healthy looking. The mother
lays around in the sun, the kits play. None of them seem to be afraid of
people or cars. I have been trying to startle them with the car horn to
make them more wary. I am afraid they will end up dead with the long
weekend coming and many people coming to the cottages in this area.
