Bev and Derek et al. - I should add that "my" mourning cloak was =20
studied only as a closed individual, since on disturbance it quickly =20
flew away.  Thus all I saw that looked "fresh" was the closed edges =20
of the wings, which looked quite intact, but the outer-edge colour =20
could not be observed.  It seems to early to me for any mourning =20
cloaks to be from having developed from an egg this year, unless =20
perhaps it had come from someplace far to the south?  Are mourning =20
cloaks ever migratory?
