Just an update...

I have observed the nest at least 4 times a day for the past 4 days and =
have never seen an eagle attending it. I have looked early morning, =
afternoon and dusk. However, I did see one mature eagle on the beach =
close by the nest on some driftwood 2 days ago.

Subject: [NatureNS] Savannah Sparrows on Citadel Hill

I biked over Citadel Hill this morning and heard a couple of Savannah =
Sparrows singing. Didn't see them, though.

I'm wondering if the Ipswich Sparrows sing the same song as the =
Savannah Sparrows--I haven't seen or heard one before. Does anyone know =
(or have recordings)? I've noticed there are a few reports on this list =
indicating they may be seen on some beaches on the Eastern/Southern =
Shore in April. Does anyone know much about their migratory behavior? =
Where do they winter? Do they tend to favor sand dunes even during =
migration?

  Jeff MacLeod
