This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0007_01CAE49D.7FA81240 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Yesterday in Mt Uniacke area I encountered several Spring Azures and many fresh Brown Elfins. The April 24 th date for Brown Elfin is 2 weeks earlier than my earliest date ever for encountering this species which was May 7 2004. I found 2 other April 27 th records from the late 1960's for this species . It appears M.Kings sightings from I recollect Spectacle Lake Halifax Co. Thurs April 22 (?) posted earlier this week may be one the earliest on record for Brown Elfin in NS . Good job ! I would suspect the scarcer Henrys Elfin will probably be around too- the earliest I have seen this critter is May 12 th. ****************** Derek W.
