Did you see the hairy woodpecker pounding away on the telephone pole by the=
Hilltop Cemetery? I watched it a couple days ago and it had already made q=
uite a dent in it :o)
I saw a brown creeper on Easter Sunday in a tree on the New Lane. There has=
been a female cardinal visiting my feeders... I think it may be planning t=
o nest at a neighbour's property.=20
=A0
On a hike across Pond Wall I saw a number of coyote droppings, and near a c=
ottage on Camp Road found the remnants of a partridge,=A0basically just the=
feathers.=A0There are lots of pheasants around. Saw a few turkey vultures =
on Digby Neck yesterday.
=A0
Wood ticks! Yuck!! It wasn't that long ago when Westport had no ticks. Hope=
your dog hasn't picked up anymore. Hope you get some migrants at your feed=
ers soon!

Spring has certainly arrived early. Peepers have been out for a week now. Y=
esterday the slugs were out in full force on the paved roads! And I found 2=
Wood ticks on my Bernese Mountain Dog!
=A0
A few new birds have arrived.
1 Brown Creeper
1 W.B. Nuthatch
6 Boreal Chickadees on Camp road
1 Am Kestrel
6 N. Flicker
1 Fox Sparrow
