Hi Everyone;

I'm passing along this notice of a meeting that I hope some of you
will be able to attend. Rest assured the ATV lobby will be out in
force, so it would be nice if members of Nova Scotia's nature
"community" voiced their concerns. If you cannot attend you can
still make your thoughts known via e-mail or phone. Details are below.

Public Meeting -- Presentation of Western Common Wilderness Common Master Plan

HRM is seeking public input on the draft Master Plan for the Western Common
Wilderness Common. The Western Common is situated between Highway 103
and Highway 333 (Prospect Road) extending west from the Ragged Lake
Business Park to the area around Nine Mile River. The Wilderness Common is a
proposed 1600 hectare portion of the Western Common that will become a
Regional Park.

A public open house meeting will be held on the following date:

Wednesday, April 14 from 6:30 -- 9:00 pm
Brookside Jr. High School, 2239 Prospect Road

Copies of the plan and maps are available for download at:
http://www.halifax.ca/RealPropertyPlanning/WCWA/index.html

The public is also invited to comment on the plan via email.

Please submit your comments to parkplan@halifax.ca no later than
April 14, 2010.

For further information please contact John Charles, Planner, Real Property
Planning, HRM Infrastructure and Asset Management at: 490-5771

Cheers,

Blake
