Woodfrogs loudly clucking in the fen

Peepers just beginning to chorus

Ice completely gone from the Lake by Monday

Robins=2C pileated woodpeckers=2C and at least one loon (the earliest I've =
ever seen/heard one there) and lots of other birds (not a birder so sorry n=
ot sure what they were though definitely some warblers and sparrows in the =
mix)

Mosquitoes=2C black flies just starting

quite a number of fresh looking mid sized orange and black moths - don't kn=
ow what they were - never noticed them before- perhaps something which does=
n't normally survive in a harsher winter...?
