This morning I saw a moth that was all over the place. It resembles the to=
rtoiseshell butterfly. It was about a quarter of an inch in size=2C with a=
 fuzzy black abdomen and the upper part of the wings was black=2C but the b=
ottom half was orange with black spots. I tried to get a photograph=2C but=
 they would not stay still long enough after I went for the camera. There =
was also a very tiny brown moth flying about. =20

=20

At Second Peninsula I watched five painted turtles up on a rise in a pond t=
here. =20

=20

Also at Second Peninsula leopard frogs were vocalizing.

=20

I also saw a beetle of some sort active today.
