Yesterday morning, while walking along Hollis Street towards the
Halifax Farmer's Market, I heard and then saw a male House Finch,
which was perched on one of the high ledges of the Metropark
garage. This was the first I have seen this year, despite some
looking in the usual places. There have been a few HOFI right
downtown in recent years; I have seen them in the planted shrubberies
near the Harbour Pilots' boats along the waterfront.

	Cheers,

	Patricia L. Chalmers
