At Conrad's Beach yesterday it was very cold and windy. There were between
2-300 Canada Geese huddled on land and the usual black ducks and mallards.
There was one lone common goldeneye. There may have been more underwater
keeping warm. All the birds' were in the inner confines, nothing I could see
in the ocean. The boardwalk has taken a beating this winter and access from
the main parking lot is blocked but one can walk through. I was there
checking to see if there might be a snowy owl but no luck. I promised my
grandkids I would show them a live one, so if there is one in the HRM
anywhere please let me know

Thanks

Joan W
