On Grand Pre its= elf I saw a pair of redtails, six eagles and a northern harrier. I also had= great looks at a pair of foxes running around on fields immediately beside= West Long Island Road. They were barking and chasing each other by turns, = and came fairly close to the road, so I got some decent pictures. When I ma= neuvered the car along the shoulder to avoid some branches that were blocki= ng my view, a mockingbird (I assume the one that's been seen there all wint= er) popped up in the bushes beside me. No sign of the cranes anywhere.=0A= =0AAnd yesterday, I stopped off at the pond beside the 102 between Fall Riv= er and Lower Sackville to see a lone drake ring-necked duck.
