BlankAbout 7 Goldeneyes

About 8 Red Breasted Mergansers

About 30 American Wigeons on the grass between the Peace Pavilion and Kings
Wharf entrance

AND

2 ducks whose ID is driving me crazy:

my best guess is 2 immature female Black Scoters
They're about 2/3 the size of a Merganser: light belly; the neck is gray in
front and light in back; dark gray on back and on top of head; the beak is
grayish and fairly small (unlike the surf scoter) with no white areas; dark
on the back of the tail feathers; and the head is rounded

Sun and plus six degrees to you too!
Yours enjoying it,
Dave Schlosberg
