Get in touch with me off-list if interested in the NZ birding. Friday afternoon I saw (as a car passenger) a light-phase Rough-legged Hawk hunting over the 104 between the Sutherland's River and New Glasgow exits. Also, this afternoon Allison and I quickly checked out Pugwash Harbour, principally for winter ducks, and found c. 30 goldeneye sp. comprised of only 2 females, both of which appeared to be Common, 2 male Barrow's Goldeneye, and the balance made up of male Common.
