My bird was sitting in a = similar pose and thus might help with the discussion. Unfortunately, I = did not get any good shots from below as suggested by Ian. But it is = easy to see the squared tail though. This particular bird has a = "nasty" reputation as I believe he is the one who took our celebrity (at = the time) Townsends Warbler "out to lunch". I enclose his picture as = well out of respect for the dearly departed! The Townsend was the main = entre while a Chickadee served up as desert an hour later! So ended = 2 weeks of very enjoyable visits from NB Birders for tea in my living = room!=20 http://scranlocker.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=3D10935939&Albu= mKey=3DEGpcT Paul Murray Dartmouth From: Peter Payzant=20 Sent: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 9:54 AM To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 Subject: [NatureNS] ID Assistance request Hi, all- A friend sent me some photos of a bird in his back yard and asked for an = ID.
