--Apple-Mail-85-590894773 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hello everyone: I did go out on the 28th (the day after we found out that the cranes were there) and I stopped to check all the fields on the way out to Ross Barkhouse Road with no luck. I went down Ross Barkhouse Road around the sharp bed and to the end of the road with no luck either. I had turned the car around and was about the head further north when the pair flew in from the landward side of Highway 215 and landed in the corn field that is behind the farm just south of Ross Backhouse. I walked around the "dyked" area of the farm and despite the snow flurries had a god chance to view them. While the view in binoculars was better, I did get some pictures. The first two are cropped, the last one scaled down to show the entire scene. http://myweb.dal.ca/pmkelly/Sandhill1.jpg http://myweb.dal.ca/pmkelly/Sandhill2.jpg http://myweb.dal.ca/pmkelly/Sandhill3.jpg I then stopped in to meet Derek Crosby, (on the "bend" in the Barkhouse Road) who had reported the birds with his feederwatch report. He said that the birds have been off and on since early December, and there are days where he doesn't see them. I haven't had a chance to get back since to see if they are still around. = = ======================================================================== Patrick Kelly Director of Computer Facilities = = ======================================================================== Faculty of Architecture and Planning Dalhousie University = = ======================================================================== PO Box 1000 Stn Central 5410 Spring Garden Road Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 2X4 Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 2X4 Canada Canada = = ======================================================================== Phone:(902) 494-3294 FAX:(902) 423-6672 E-mail:patrick.kelly@dal.ca = = ======================================================================== --Apple-Mail-85-590894773 Content-Type: text/html; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html><body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; = -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>Hello = everyone:</div><div><br></div>I did go out on the 28th (the day after we = found out that the cranes were there) and I stopped to check all the = fields on the way out to Ross Barkhouse Road with no = luck. <div><br></div><div>I went down Ross Barkhouse Road around = the sharp bed and to the end of the road with no luck either.
