Also present today were at least 8 black-capped chickadees, 4 blue jays, 4 crows, a downy woodpecker, 4 mourning doves, at least 2 cardinals, 1 song sparrow, 4 white-throated sparrows, and one of the latter was SINGING today. DEC. 13, 2009 - For the past 3 days or so, 2 Am. goldfinches have been visiting my feeders. DEC. 14, 2009 - Today is warm, at +6 C., and there were at least 7 of our 8 n. cardinals at our feeders today at about 1 p.m. But no recent sightings of the red-breasted nuthatch seen Dec. 9.
