An adult female Dickcissel arrived at our place this morning. It was lurking in the multiflora bramble over our backyard pond. Also, of interest, two Ruffed Grouse have been in the same bramble eating multiflora berries for several days.

The Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher was last seen on Saturday at Duncan's Cove but with this crummy weather it will be harder to find if it's still around. Like most late fall birds a bright morning sun is a much preferred circumstance.

Hans
