Some folks on the NatureNS list serve may be interested in the following Halifax Field Naturalists event:
Aquatic Habitat Restoration - Thursday, Dec. 3 - 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History.
Dr. Cathy Conrad is chair and Associate Professor in the Dept. of Geography at St. Mary's University. In this presentation, she will describe the methods of aquatic habitat restoration that have been in use in North America and elsewhere over the past several decades. An emphasis will be placed on river restoration and the initiatives of the Sackville Rivers Association as well as other watershed associations.
