No, no, its "one or two threads at a time", and this principle applies  
not only to science, but to just about any endeavor. It's not possible  
to do everything simultaneously. Consequently, to make any progress,  
one needs to do one thing at a time. The more threads one is able to  
follow up, the more complete the tapestry that one can weave. Rome  
wasn't built in a day, and the body of science will not be either.
