Yesterday morning I spent a couple of hours at Bell Park and Mount Uniacke Museum Park, Hants County, mostly in search of fall colours to admire and photograph. When I come out this way I also listen for woodpeckers but all I managed to hear was a Northern Flicker.

I was delighted with the fall colours especially at the western end of Bell Park. Bell Park is an excellent location to find woodland birds. There were dozens of Red-breasted Nuthatches and Golden-crowned Kinglets. A White-breasted Nuthatch at Mount Uniacke Museum Park was also a nice surprise.

Here's a series of photos, mostly fall colours, but the nuthatch, as well.
