Hi all:

=20

I've not had a lot of time to get out recently=2C but along the Back Harbou=
r Trail yesterday when Pat and I took a stroll=2C we came across a juvenile=
 rose-breasted grosbeak.

=20

Alas I shall not get to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal with family and friends=
as I have to work today. Oh well=2C David Walmark and I were still able t=
o get out for a bit birding this morning. Of note: =20

=20

Lots of Canada Geese on the move. Probably the most groups I've ever seen =
in the area ranging from groups of 50 to over 100 birds. At First South th=
ere were four with the group with shorter necks and bills=2C which I believ=
e to be of the Richardson's sub-division. Other notables were a bufflehead=
at Mahone Bay. The first I've seen for the fall. There were also 51 comm=
on mergansers in the Bay. =20

=20

At Stevenson's Lake in Lilydale=2C there were 13 wood ducks.

=20

The only warbler species we came across were yellow-rumped warblers. They =
were at most locations visited. =20
