Hi all
I have been away, but I note  nice wet wild mushroom weather on my return, just in time for our next Pictou Co. Naturalist talk. The details plus a little note from speaker John Crabtree's website can be seen below.

Pictou County Naturalist Club
Mushroom enthusiast, John Crabtree, will share his passion of things that grow in the forest with this talk, "A Foray for Wild N.S. Mushroom".  

I will be speaking at the New Glasgow Library on Tuesday,October 6th.
I will present a slide show on the Mushroom Foray that was recently held at North River in Cape Breton.
I will also talk about the various types of mushrooms and how to recognise them followed by a slide show on Edible, Poisonous and Deadly mushrooms that grow in Nova Scotia.
