Index of Subjects --0016e6d6453abaa7300474dd0745 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Folks, It isn't perfect...I'm hearing BS here about a FREE service that is extremely useful and convenient. By the way, I had nothing to do with the development of it, nor do I work for either level of government involved. In the past, if you had wanted to look at so many air photos, you had to order them yourself at great expense, or go to a library or other source to work with the hard copies. I've done that, it's a pain relative to this. To access the air photos, I would still use the link I provided ( https://ns.nfis.org/mapserver/ka-map/htdocs/). You'll see the menu on the left..."ortho photos" only appears once you're zoomed in to a scale of 1:250000. Click that option, the photos appear. "Cartographic Monstrosity" is a pathetic description of this site. It isn't perfect, big deal. I can see it as being extremely useful, and it's a HECK of a lot better than what was available before (ever see an airphoto with roads colour-coded? How about all the waterways marked? Crown Land borders?). I'm sure the bugs (one of which I posted in my original email) will be sorted out soon. It seems that some people, instead of congratulating the positives, will seek out the negatives, especially with anything government related, and just spew trash. Remember that our governments are made up of people, our neighbours, friends, sometimes family, sometimes just the joe down the street. How about a bit of optimism?
